About the presenters:

Manca Mikec

My name is Manca and I come from Ljubljana, Slovenia. I first stared with agility in 1999, but than I had few years of break due to sick dog. When I got my first border collie Bode in 2006, my life completely changed. I started to train more seriously, attending seminars and developing knowledge of this lovely sport. In 2010 I ran on EO with Bode, and also got new border collie, this time a girl named Lin. With all my knowledge I managed to teach Lin great basic and now its really easy to run with her. My both dogs are crazy fast and have great ability to work, so I just love to work with them as much as possible. In 2014 I got new puppy, papillon Aksi, who now also competes in highest level A3. At the moment I have 4 dogs: Bode, Lin, Aksi and puppy Breezy.

Lin ran at AWC 2015 & 2016 with Polona Bonač, they were 2nd in team large 2015! And they ran many EOs and will run AWC 2018 too.

Aksi qualified for EO 2016,2017&2018, and also AWC 2017&2018. At AWC 2017 we got 5th place in agility invididual run and in EO 2018 we became team champions in small!

In 2010 I  started working on my judging exam. So from fall 2013 im also agility judge (from 2014 international). I was also team leader for EO 2013, team assistant for EO 2014 &2015 and assistant at AWC 2014&2015.

I teach agility for more than 8 years already. Many students of mine are team Slovenia members for AWC and EO.

My goal is to have fun and enjoy working with our great dogs!

Nuša Pečnik

I have been living with dogs since I was 6 years old. I started training agility with my Newfoundland Blue, but later we switched to Rally obedience. Even though Blue really loved agility, it was not appropriate sport for her big body. My big dream has always been doing agility and that wish came true when I got Ling, the Border collie in 2010.

My boyfriend Sandi got his first dog Miya (shetland sheepdog) in 2013 and I trained them to became European Champions in 2015 and vice-champions in 2016. They have been at FCI agility world championship in 2016 and 2017 as members of Slovenian team. They achieved 3rd place in individual agility run at AWC 2017.

I got my second border collie Šus at beginning of 2015 and she has reached the highest level in less than a year of training.

All of our dogs compete at the highest level, I am teaching all of my three dogs running contacts.

Ling and Miya became  National champions of Slovenia in 2016. Ling was an EO member in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Miya was EO member 2015, 2016 and 2017 and AWC member 2016 and 2017.

It has been my honor to be a team assistant or team leader for Slovenian team in recent years at European open, Junior European open and FCI world Chamiopnship.

Between 2013 and 2016 I have been working in a dog shelter in the capital city of Slovenia as a dog behaviorist. I helped a lot of abandoned dogs with rehabilitation and socialization.

In 2010 I obtained a Rally obedience instructor certificate and in 2017 an agility instructor certificate. Since 2012 I'm teaching agility classes, puppy classes and obedience. I like to help students with motivational problems and finding best solutions for each team individually.
